Founder and CEO
Yong Zheng is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Geek+.
Yong grew up hesitating between an artistic and engineering career before deciding to focus on industrial engineering. Driven by the idea of finding industrial, concrete applications to new technologies, Yong grew quickly convinced that he could bring a creative vision to the world of logistics.
In 2015 he decided to follow his hunch that robotics and artificial intelligence would the next technology frontier by founding Geek+, gearing up the company to lead the intelligent logistics revolution and bring innovative automation solutions to a wide range of industries.
Under Yong’s leadership Geek+ has grown into a global leader in advanced robotics and AI technologies, delivering best-in-class smart logistics solutions to the world’s biggest companies across 4 continents. Geek+ is listed as a top 50 world robotics companies by Robotics Business Review. Yong has been named to Fortune China’s 40 under 40.
Yong studied industrial engineering at Tsinghua University and RWTH Aachen before embarking in a career in supply chain management with multinational corporations ABB and Saint-Gobain, where he was responsible for overall operations from engineering to quality control and logistics at key production sites in China.
Yong then joined investment fund New Horizon Capital where he was responsible for post-investment management of portfolio companies and new investments in the TMT and robotics sectors.
When he is not developing new robotics solutions, Yong continues to paint, with the help of his toddler twins.
Yong holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Tsinghua University and RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
Co-founder, CTO
Hongbo Li is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Geek+.
As CTO, he leads Geek+’s extensive R&D department, and is responsible for all R&D activities in robotics, software system and AI algorithm design. Heading a 400+ team of engineers, he mentors some of the brightest minds in developing comprehensive technology solutions applicable to a wide range of industrial scenarios.
Prior to joining Geek+, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. One of the world’s leading experts in multi-agent robotic systems, Hongbo has 15 years of experience in theoretical and application research in the navigation, perception and scheduling of large scale advanced robotics and artificial intelligence algorithms. He has published more than 30 papers in global leading scientific journals IEEE/IEE.
Hongbo received his PhD in Computer Science from Tsinghua University. He has won numerous awards for his research including the Ministry of Education’s Natural Science award, the Beijing Science and Technology Award, and the China Automation Society Science and Technology award. He is an editorial board member of the International Journal of Control Automation and Systems.
A fan of historical biographies and novels, Hongbo is also a table tennis enthusiast and can be found playing in various Beijing parks year-around.
Co-founder, VP of System R&D
Kai Liu is the co-founder and VP of System R&D, responsible for the product design and R&D of Geek+ software system, and the algorithm development of multi-intelligent body robot system.
Prior to founding Geek+, Kai Liu was a control system engineer for Shenzhou spacecraft at the Aerospace Academy. He specializes in robotics design, including mobile robots and vision services, control systems, multi-intelligent body algorithms, and software system design. His work in robotics has resulted in more than 30 patent certifications.
Kai Liu holds a master's degree from Tsinghua University and is the first prize winner of China's National Intelligent Vehicle and Robotics Competition.
Co-founder, VP of Robots R&D
Xi Chen is the co-founder and Vice President of Robotics R&D at Geek+. He is responsible for Geek+'s robotics R&D efforts.
Prior to founding Geek+, Xi Chen was the technical manager of high-speed fiber optic communication at Raisecome. Xi Chen has over 10 years of applied robotics research experience, specializing in industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing. As the first member of the robotics team, he has grown this department from nothing to what it is today.
Xi Chen holds a master’s degree in automotive engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing and is the first prize winner of China's National Intelligent Vehicle and Robotics Competition.
Chief Financial Officer
Hongyan Liu is Chief Financial Officer at Geek+. She oversees Geek+’s finance department and helps define and implement the company’s financial strategy, project valuations and risk management. Under her leadership, Geek+ completed B and C1 fundraisings in October 2018 and July 2019.
Prior to Geek+, Hongyan was a project manager at Grant Thornton, after having worked as CFO at Ya Xia share, an A-share listed company. She specializes in market operations, with a strong expertise in financing operations. She has over 15 years of experience in financial and investment strategies.
Hongyan holds a master’s degree in accounting from Xiamen University. She has won Zhejiang Province’s award for Leading Accounting Talent.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Willa Wang is Chief Human Resources Officer at Geek+. She oversees the company’s talent acquisition and management strategy as well as Geek+’s company culture. Passionate about finding the best talents and helping them thrive in an exciting and safe environment, she strives to build an efficient and compassionate human resource management system to shape a superior corporate culture.
She has nearly 20 years of human resources management experience. Prior to Geek+, Willa Wang was a senior executive at Lenovo China, where she held key HR positions including China HR director, Lenovo China and APAC recruitment director and Global compensation and welfare director. She has rich practical experience in performance management, talent recruitment, compensation and benefits, organizational change, and cultural change.
Willa holds a masters’ degree in management from Harbin’s Institute of Technology.
Chief Marketing Officer
Hong Yu is Chief Marketing Officer at Geek+. He is responsible for the Company’s global positioning and drives the company’s marketing strategy and plan, including sales marketing, global strategic partnerships, public relations, events and content.
Hong has spent his entire career focusing on customer care, placing the customer at the heart of marketing strategies. He has extensive experience formulating and managing marketing strategies for Fortune 500 technology companies.
Hong joined Geek+ from Amazon, where he was head of Kindle Marketing China. Previously, he was central marketing organization director at Microsoft China, following 8 years at Intel where he held key managing positions including digital globalization manager and brand strategy manager.
Hong holds a bachelor’s degree in international trade from Beijing University of Technology.
VP of Product
Solomon is responsible for the overall strategy, planning and definition, development management, quality management, GTM and other product solution lifecycle management of Geek+'s global robotics products and solutions.
Prior to joining Geek+, Solomon Lee worked as an executive in international companies in IT, Internet, and new energy vehicles, and has excellent market acumen and end-to-end product commercialization capabilities.
Solomon Lee graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University and received his EMBA from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
VP, President of International Business and Americas Region
Lit Fung is Geek+ VP, President of International Business. Based in Hong Kong, he heads the company’s expansion and operations across the globe, including strategy, sales, project management and customer relations. He played a crucial role in initiating and developing the company’s first international projects.
A specialist of AI and robotics, Lit has over 10 years’ experience in the logistic automation field working on global projects. He has in depth understanding of the ecommerce and retail industries in particular and how automation can address the global challenges they are facing and improve operations.
VP, President of China Region
Junzhe Yang is responsible for Geek+'s business expansion and operations in China region, including strategy implementation, customer management, pre-sales solutions, project delivery and services. Previously, he was also responsible for the management and development of the RaaS (Robotics as a Service) Smart Warehouse business unit. Under Junzhe's leadership, the business of China Region has been expanding and doubling its performance year after year.
Junzhe Yang has held positions as Sales Director, Regional General Manager and Corporate Vice President at well-known companies such as Tiandi Huayu, Kejie Logistics and Shanghai FaNet. Junzhe has more than 10 years of management experience in logistics, e-commerce and new retail.
VP, President of APAC Region
Kevin Guo is the VP of Geek+ Americas. As GM for Geek+ Americas, he oversees the company’s expansion and operations in the US, Canada, Mexico and South America, including strategy, sales, project management and customer relations. Before this, Kevin was responsible for global management and sales of Geek+ services, including spare parts management, after-sales training and full life cycle service management of robot hardware products.
Prior to Geek+, Kevin spent over a decade in management positions at ABB, including Service Marketing and Sales, Service R&D and Service Product Manager. He has rich practical experience in project management and business expansion.
Kevin holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
VP, President of EMEA Region
Brian Lee joined Geek+ in 2018 as the business leader of EMEA Region including Europe and Middle East and Africa and has led his team to achieve very good performance growth.
Brian graduated from City University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining Geek+, he worked as General Manager of Service Logistics for DHL, a leading global logistics provider, for over 10 years. During his tenure, he has accumulated extensive project and team management experience, and has a deep understanding of industry trends and the ability to understand and grasp customer needs.
